"Black Coffey member Jason Coffey recently
shared that the invasion of the music industry by Kentucky-based artists is great: "I mean, it's been like the underground
railroad in Kentucky trying to come up because there's really no outlet there. But like you said, you got my brother, myself,
Rob Jackson, Nappy Roots, Keke Wyatt, Athena Cage, Playa, two of the Backstreet Boys...There's very good talent in Kentucky.
I know some people who are still there trying to do their thing, you know what I'm sayin', and by us being able to get
in we can take it back home now, and then we can show the rest of world that, 'OK, there's more from Kentucky that's
coming,' but the invasion is great."

are brothers born and raised from Lexington, Kentucky. Both grew up and developed their passion and talent in music from their
early years singing in church choirs.
Raised in a family of musicians and music lovers, the brothers were influenced
by soul, R& B, and gospel. This delicate blending of styles is reflected in their songs, such as title hits, "Hey", "Spill",
and Stevie Wonder's classic "Rocket Love."
Their music has been featured on Black Entertainment Network as Rated
Next artist. They have appeared on Soul Train and toured with numerous of artist.
So why is the band called Black
Coffey? Besides being namesake, "In our family, we always say that coffee grinds down fine and brews deep," Clay remembers
with a sly smile. "And that's what our music does. It grinds down to the essence of soul music and it brews deep, rich and
flavorful."
These two brothers are true singers.
